1:09 ball crossed into Forest box, 1:21 Forest score. Typical Clough
counter attack that

Been a Forest Fan all my life now live in Perth W.A, i still say that this
was the greatest performance of any Forest team ever. Loved that away kit,
the glory years born in this year, god i miss those days.

dont be a hater of forest when forest are better then derby

Cloughie called this ‘the pinnacle’. If this was the best game he’d ever
had under us, this was our best game in our entire history. When we looked
like we could win the league. And here we are – 33 years and 364 days
later, struggling in the relegation zone in the second tier of English
football. Where has it all gone wrong?

Mark Poxon · April 21, 2014 at 3:32 pm

I was a Forest fan at the game… unfortunately I was standing in the
Stretford End! (I was a student at Manchester University, went with two
United fans)… didn’t celebrate till I got off the bus in Mansfield!!
Great game, Forest were magic. Oh for those days again.

Uponthetrent · April 21, 2014 at 4:10 pm

at the end of the match i can remember the famous quote “manchester united
buried in there own back yard byBrian Cloughs men”

scooperman · April 21, 2014 at 4:51 pm

I have a couple of Forest DVDs if you want them ,, 1996 MUFC 5 Forest 0 and

I remember watching this on Star Soccer one sunday afternoon as a kid. What
a team, they’d still win the title today

DoctorScrumpy · April 21, 2014 at 5:29 pm

Signing that prick Clotterill as manager didn’t help

DerbyCountyMad · April 21, 2014 at 6:06 pm

Sorry 🙁

Dave · April 21, 2014 at 6:23 pm

I’m a United fan who was at that game. It was probably the best performance
I have seen at OT by an away team. We were lucky to get nil!!!
