Interim Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has now overseen three wins and a draw in his four league games in charge of the team. The Red Devils made it three wins from four Premier League matches under the German tactician on the back of the 3-1 victory over Burnley.

Scott McTominay and Cristiano Ronaldo both contributed a goal and an assist as Manchester United recorded a win over the Clarets. Scotland national team midfielder McTominayscored the first goal and provided the assist for   the third goal scored by Ronaldo. On his part, Ronaldo provided the assist for the first goal from McTominay before the Portugal senior national team skipper applied the finish to the assist from the midfielder for the third Manchester United goal.

The race for the top four places on the Premier League log is fiercely contested at the moment as securing one of the top four spots will guarantee Champions League football in the new season. Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are all in the race for Champions League football and the title chasing duo of Liverpool and Chelsea might be dragged into the said race going by their recent results.

Apart from Ronaldo and McTominay, Ben Mee (own goal) also scored for the Red Devils, while winger Aaron Lennon scored the only goal for Burnley. Meewas responsible for the second Manchester United goal.

Manchester United were able to move above North London side Tottenham Hotspur into sixth place on the Premier League table courtesy the win over the Clarets.The Red Devils have 31 points from 18 league games and they are in the top six on the log, while Spurs have 30 points from 17 league matches and they are the seventh best team on the log at the moment.
